Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Helsingborg-based MilDef announced today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance aerospace collaboration for the Swedish Air Force (SwAF) through Lockheed Martin’s C-130J-30 Super Hercules tactical airlifter. The partnership aims to integrate MilDef solutions and expertise into Lockheed Martin’s aerospace and defense ecosystem. Tony Frese, Lockheed Martin's VP of Business Development, emphasized the strategic alignment between the two companies, highlighting the mutual benefit in supporting Sweden's air power mission and generating economic opportunities.

MilDef, founded in 1997, provides military-grade hardware, software, and services designed for rugged conditions. Daniel Ljunggren, CEO of MilDef Group, expressed gratitude for the partnership and commitment to delivering optimal solutions. Sweden's existing ties with Lockheed Martin, including the C-130H fleet, Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter, and Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) system, further underscore the significance of the collaboration.
