Financial services regulation - a City of Londons´s perspective

Mr Björn Savén, Chairman of the British-Swedish Chamber of Commerce introduced the speakers of this Business Breakfast. The keynote speech was held by Mr Alderman Ian Luder, Lord Mayor of the City of London.

As Lord Mayor Mr Alderman Ian Luder promotes the Square Mile as the world´s leading international financial and business center and advises the UK government on the prerequisites for a well functioning financial services sector. Promoting the City abroad the Lord Mayor meets official sector representatives of incoming EU presidencies - the turn has now come to Stockholm.

The guests had a unique opportunity to ask questions on current financial matters from a City of London perspective in close connection to the London summit and the Swedish EU Presidency. The British Ambassador to Sweden, Mr Andrew Mitchell and Stuart John Fraser, Chairman of the Policy & Resources Committee City of London, also participated and gave their comments.
