Elderly Care – a rewarding business

Home Instead Senior Care recently presented their concept to an audience of roughly 35 participants at the U.S Embassy in Stockholm, titled "Elderly Care - Rewarding Business". Home Instead Senior Care is a franchise network based in Nebraska, USA.

Keynote speaker Tommy Adamsson of the Swedish Franchise Association began the seminar with an overview of franchising in Sweden and how other companies in Sweden have expanded through franchising.  Following Tommy's presentation, Mango Kask of the Swedish law firm MAQS presented some of the legalities involved with beginning a franchise in Sweden and how those laws are applicable to potential franchisors. Yoshino Nakajima, Chief Development Officer, then shared the Home Instead story of how a personal experience of founders Paul and Lori Hogan caring for their grandmother created a concept that would change the face of aging worldwide.

The Home Instead Senior Care family network of locally owned franchise offices was developed with a passionate desire to be a trusted in-home care agency, to help families keep their aging mother, father, grandparents or friends in their home as they grow older. Today, thousands of relationships are formed daily through CAREGivers who provide home care help to clients and their families who desire assistance with activities that used to be simple.

Global trends such as aging populations and declining birth rates, societal changes of senior care shifting from the family to professional caregivers, and increasing costs of public funding have fuelled the growth of Home Instead Senior Care. Today, the Home Instead Senior Care franchise network is the world's trusted source of companionship, Alzheimer's care and home care for seniors, with more than 850 franchises in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan, Portugal, Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, New Zealand, Taiwan, Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, Finland and Austria.
