AmCham Sweden's 18th Annual General Meeting
We are happy to invite you to Millesgården on Thursday May 27. A special exhibition is made for AmCham members with work from Carl Milles years in America. The exhibition is open until June 3rd.

- Keynote speech by Laurent Leksell, Executive Director of Elekta AB and the Chairman of Stockholm’s City Mission / Stadsmissionen.
“Milles goes to America”
- Presentation by Onita Wass, Director, Millesgården
Guided tour of an exclusive exhibition - made for the AmCham members - with works made by Carl Milles during his twenty years in America. Carl Milles lived there from 1931 to 1951 and in 1946 he became an American citizen.
Milles and his wife returned to Sweden in 1951, and lived at Millesgården, Lidingö every summer until Milles's death in 1955. They spent winters in Rome, where the American Academy had supplied them with a studio. Milles and his wife, Olga, who died in 1967 in Graz, Austria, are buried in a small stone chapel, designed by Milles, at Millesgården.
